No News, no Shoes - The accommodation at Lake Neusiedl directly on the water.
The private lakeside hut is located in Rust Bay in Rust in Burgenland and can be reached via a wooden jetty (even without a boat). The reed-covered lake hut is about 38 m² in size and stands on a wooden plateau of about 100 m² directly in the water of Lake Neusiedl. It is a so-called pile dwelling. Overall, the Lake cabin can be booked for a maximum of 5 people, whereby the space is limited by the tent shape of the roof. However, life mostly takes place outdoors anyway. The romantic chalet is fully equipped with mosquito screens and offers air conditioning and heating.
The Sonnendeck vacation home has a separate bedroom at ground level with a double bed. The other two double beds (with mattresses, for space reasons there is no complete bed with legs and main bed) are romantically located directly under the roof of the hut and can be reached with a ladder. The beds are therefore not recommended for people with limited mobility.
Glamping - back to nature at Chalet Neusiedlersee right on the water.
A small kitchen with stove, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a Nespresso machine are available. WC and bathroom with washbasin are located in the hut. For showering we have - in true glamping style - an outdoor shower with hot water, where you can shower outdoors. Please note that despite everything, the shower and size of the hut are more reminiscent of a sailing or camping vacation and the space in the hut is quite limited.
If you book a vacation like this, you are consciously booking something reduced and simple and not a luxury vacation. The furnishings for the Seehütte Neusiedlersee we have discovered all over the world. Old teak benches from Bali, a beautiful chest from India and a wonderful dining table from an old wine cellar in Burgenland.

Whether over a long weekend as a short break, a romantic getaway for lovers or with the family - the region around the lake offers almost everything your heart desires.
Air conditioning, private jetty and free boat included
The Seehütte Sonnendeck has a simple boat with a Torqueedo motor, which we are happy to make available to you free of charge during your stay - if the water level permits. Please note, however, that you are liable for any damage to the boat and that trips are only possible if the water level permits and the boat is ready for use. As we are happy to make our boat available to you free of charge (at no extra charge!), please note that if it is not possible to use the boat, no refund will be made for the boat to be used free of charge.
There is a spacious swimming area in front of the hut, although the entire lake is not very deep. A large sun deck with padded cushions invites you to sunbathe and relax. In addition to the large dining table in the hut, you also have a corner bench with dining table directly over the water outside on the terrace, under a shady sail. The hut is located in the middle of a nature reserve and is surrounded by water and reeds. Lake Neusiedl and the old town of Rust are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This means that UNESCO considers the cultural landscape of Lake Neusiedl to be of "exceptional value to mankind as a whole".
